A quality of nature that fascinates us – it is governed by certain rules we’re barely aware of – give off mysterious, diverse, unrepeatable and somewhat sacred presences. Is it possible to deliberately reproduce ‘naturalness’ in artifacts?
獲日本最大級設計藝術盛會 DESIGNART TOKYO 2019 Under30 計畫選出,於東京舉辦個展。
令人著迷的自然本質,那一些我們未曾真正意識的規律或法則,散發出神秘、捉模不定、不可重複且甚至有些聖性的存在;然而,是否能夠擁有「精心製造的自然」?以自然為隱喻,並非對於既存型態的模仿,也非材料形式上的並置,而是通過抽象轉換,使自然的脆弱性與人工的精確維度,在對比映照之中顯現,而沒有任何一個要素掩蓋彼此。
展覽中露出大型木作 Floating Pattern (2019)、樹皮布工藝 Scallopig Series (2016)、樹皮平整化實驗 Wood Not Wood (2016)、追溯木業製材廢料的 Second Nature (2016),四件作品以相異尺度與材質特性,相互譜出自然之姿。
