Circuit—Whispers

With an intention to transform the electric cable from its industrial essence, the lighting installation 'Circuit—Whispers' celebrates the inherent material properties of the copper core—its reflective quality and exceptional conductivity. Comprising over 900 meters of core wires arranged in 111 sections, the installation creates an ethereal surface that captures and diffuses light. The termination of the structure incorporates fishery leads as counterweights, shaping the entire installation into a boat-like form through the forces of gravity and tension.

In each symmetrical section, tungsten bulbs are carefully positioned by simple yet expressive junctions that complete the circuit and trigger the power. Named 'Circuit—Whispers,' these bulbs emit a soft radiance resembling dewdrops, producing a sequence of signals through a subtle whisper, anticipating the moment when all components harmoniously align and connect.

承載於日日所見的電線電纜之上，無形的能量、信息和意義何以被感知？線構燈光裝置〈迴路—信號〉使用桃園大亞電線電纜的纜芯為媒介，除去其附著的工業意象，將紅銅線純粹的質料及形態予以彰顯。

927公尺的電纜線圈，勾勒出111道紅銅截面，輕盈而精確地縱穿15公尺的跨度，鋪作光的曲面。線段的接續與轉折，象徵著傳遞和發散之意象；而正、負電於線段交會，點燃了最小單元的光源明滅，是密碼、信號也是回應，在各個節點如露珠般跳動，最終串為一座連結的橋拱。

〈迴路—信號〉以漁業鉛塊及五金作為配重細節，透過重力與張力建構出船型骨骼，與桃園特有的水文相映。展間透過光點、銅線和截面的遞進，指向在地產業和生態景觀的和諧並存，於光影閃爍間等待訊息解讀。
